Justice Salihu Olohuntoyin Muhammad
The Hon. Justice Salihu Oloruntoyin Muhammad who hails from Ilorin in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State was born on the10th of July 1951.
He studied for his Bachelor's degree in Education/Islamic Studies at the Bayero University, Kano. He graduated in 1980. He attended the University of Ilorin in Ilorin for his M. A. in Islamic Studies and graduated from there in 1988. In 1992, he acquired a Diploma Certificate in Law at the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
He began his career in public service as Education Officer with the Kwara State Ministry of Education.
In 1983, he joined the Kwara State Judiciary as Senior Registrar at the Sharia Court of Appeal, Ilorin and rose through to become the Substantive Chief Registrar in 1995. He was appointed Hon. Kadi in May 1999.
In addition to his Qualification, he has APMC certificate from the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Lagos.
In his years in public service, he has served as a member of several committees and panels on state and national assignments. He has received several honourary awards among which was Ph. D Sharia (Honoris Causa) of the Concepts University, London.
The Hon. Justice Salihu Oloruntoyin Muhammad has attended several workshops and seminars; he has also presented papers at different judicial workshops.
He is married with children and his hobbies include reading, researching, writing, counseling and exercising.
